In 2009, Pratt & Whitney, together with joint venture partner China Eastern Airlines, opened a new, state-of-the-art CFM56® engine overhaul facility in Shanghai, China. Located in the Qingpu district, the Shanghai Engine Center services China Eastern Airlines' fleet and third party customers'.
