Vietjet, Pratt & Whitney Celebrate Selection of PurePower® Engine for A320neo, A321neo Aircraft Order

HANOI, Vietnam, Monday, May 23, 2016

Vietjet and Pratt & Whitney gathered to celebrate the selection of the PurePower Geared Turbofan™ (GTF) engine to power their order of 63 Airbus A320neo and A321neo family of aircraft. Deliveries are expected to begin in 2017. Pratt & Whitney is a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX).

The PurePower Geared Turbofan engine family has more than 7,000 orders, including options, with more than 70 customers from more than 30 countries.

The PurePower engine family has completed more than 58,000 cycles and 35,000 hours of testing.
