Pratt & Whitney Canada Joins Dassault Aviation in Celebrating Delivery of 500th PW307A Engine
Pratt & Whitney Canada (P&WC) delivered its 500th PW307A engine to Dassault Aviation on June 1, 2011. P&WC will present Dassault Aviation with a commemorative plaque at a ceremony marking this important milestone at the 2011 Paris International Air Show on June 21, 4:30 pm (CEST), at the UTC Chalet, A344-346. Pratt & Whitney Canada is a United Technologies Corp. company (NYSE:UTX).

P&WC developed the PW307A engine and nacelle in conjunction with Dassault's Falcon 7X aircraft, resulting in an integrated power plant system with new levels of performance, reliability and maintainability. The PW307A engine has accumulated more than 225,000 flight hours in service on the Falcon 7X.
With 6,400 pounds of thrust, the PW307A engine comes from a family of engines having accumulated close to 10 million flight hours in the field and which celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. The engine benefits from this wealth of experience and the injection of P&WC's latest technologies with more than 3,500 PW300 series engines produced to date on 8 civil aircraft applications.
