Pratt & Whitney Canada proudly congratulates John Di Bert, Vice President, Finance, who has been named a recipient of Canada's Top 40 Under 40™ for 2009. Pratt & Whitney Canada is a United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX) company.

Canada's Top 40 Under 40™ is a national award program, which annually honours 40 Canadians under the age of 40, in the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Di Bert and his peers were selected from over 1,200 nominees by an independent advisory board, comprised of 25 business leaders from across Canada. Honourees were chosen based on five key criteria: vision and leadership; innovation and achievement; impact; community involvement and contribution; and strategy for growth.

"Integrity, accountability and excellence are hallmarks of John Di Bert's leadership style," said P&WC President John Saabas. "These qualities are closely aligned with our key corporate values."

Di Bert joined Pratt & Whitney Canada's finance team in 2000. Since he assumed the role of Vice President, Finance in 2007, Di Bert's focus has been the creation of stakeholder value. Even during the global recession, he helped the company maintain sound financial performance while launching critical strategic investments. His financial leadership also allowed P&WC to remain amongst Canada's top five research and development investors, with average annual investments of $400 million per year for projects such as the development of high-performance engines that reduce noise, emissions and fuel consumption.

Upon receiving the award, Di Bert said: "I share this special honour with my colleagues at Pratt & Whitney Canada: passionate people who have an unwavering commitment to quality."

Di Bert has been an active supporter of Centraide/United Way for the past ten years. He has led several P&WC finance team volunteer projects for not-for-profit organizations.
